Funaken! Marketing Organic Darjeeling Tea
Darjeeling tea produced in Northern India of Darjeeling region is considered as one of the three most renowned black tea varieties in the world.
Since Darjeeling region is located in the highlands of Himalaya, 2000 meters above the sea level, the temperature there varies drastically between day and night. As a result of such a severe natural environment, the distinct fragrance of Darjeeling tea is produced. Darjeeling tea - also known as “Champaign of Tea” due to its fruity “Muscat flavor” - is very popular and praised highly.
All the tea shown on the photographs here are produced organically in accordance with the tea promoters’ strict supervision in India. For cultivating the tea plants and composting the land, earthworms are used while weed are managed by planting the tea grass. For fertilizing, Indian tree of “Nim” is sprayed in order to control and prevent harmful insects while preserving natural eco-systems.
All tea sold by Funaken is grown and produced organically.
